There is Pollution All Around Us Affecting the Future of our planet

The Effects of

AIR POLLUTION

What is Water Pollution?

Water pollution occurs when harmful substances—often chemicals or microorganisms—contaminate a stream, river, lake, ocean, aquifer, or other body of water, degrading water quality and rendering it toxic to humans or the environment. NRDC

Want to Reduce Your Impact on Air Pollution and Fossil Fuel emissionS?

Unplug devices in your home and turn switches off. These can be direct solutions to limiting your own fossil fuel emissions
Buy local produce. The amount of fossil fuels it takes to transport produce is much more than you can imagine. Buying 'fresh' lettuce from California is unsustainable.
Use a clothesline in the summer months to dry your clothes!
Walk and bike if you can!
Fly nonstop. Takeoffs and landings require a lot more fuel usage.
Voting! Your civic duty is important. As you grow up, take a look at politicians, both Republican and Democrat, that support a green future.

ACT NOW!

  • On top of recycling, limiting your fossil fuel usage, and being resourceful: you can make changes in your own backyard to help the planet.

  • Make sure to reduce, reuse, and recycle

  • Even though your impact is small relative to the globe, you can start a positive ripple effect in your community.

  • Let's help make a change to save the oceans, future generations, and the environment.
